Are you Sitting Comfortably?
As you start your working day, have a think, exactly how long are you sitting on your backside each day?
Check this out from the NHS website:
"Many adults in the UK spend more than seven hours a day sitting or lying, and this typically increases with age to 10 hours or more."
The daily commute to work, desk job, (lunch at your desk anyone?) TV, laptops - it's no wonder we are clocking up the time spent sitting down.
Sadly too much time sitting can lead to poor posture, tight muscles, a slower metabolism, increased stress and some medical conditions...Even if you go to the gym regularly!
Come on, you can do it! Get yourself Moving....
A 15 minute walk at lunch time?
Do you really need to email your colleague in the office...walk!
Get yourself a drink - walk to the kitchen yourself
Take a break from your computer every 30 minutes; stand up and loosen up
